Wedding Photography Quote Builder

How do I build a wedding photography quote?

Enter a package price, hours, add-ons, travel, deposit and the wedding date. You get an itemised quote, the total, the deposit and balance due dates, and a plain text summary to copy.

How the tool works

The quote starts with your base package price and the hours it includes. If the booked hours are higher, the extra hours are charged at your hourly rate. A second shooter, an engagement shoot, two named add-ons such as an album and prints, and travel miles at a per-mile rate can be added. All prices and rates are example figures, not a price list. Replace them with your own.

The deposit is a percentage of the total, due on booking. The balance is due a set number of days before the wedding, and the page works out that date from the wedding date. If you charge VAT, tick the box and set the rate. Prices are entered before VAT.

This tool is not tax or legal advice. Check VAT with HMRC or an accountant. A written contract that sets out the services, payments, dates and cancellation terms is recommended before you confirm a booking.

Questions

Are the prices on this page a guide to what I should charge?

No. They are example figures so the page shows a result. Enter your own prices.

How is the balance due date worked out?

It is the wedding date minus the number of days you choose. If that date has already passed, the page says so.

Do I need to charge VAT?

That depends on your circumstances and whether you are VAT registered. Check with HMRC or an accountant.
